On the Catwalk<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

What is fashion? NC State\u2019s Art2Wear<\/a> show demonstrates that there\u2019s no one answer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The annual event, organized by the Media Arts, Design and Technology department in NC State\u2019s College of Design<\/a>, has grown from a small, grassroots showcase to the largest student-run fashion events in the Southeast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For more than 20 years, it has challenged both student designers and the audience to question the boundaries and conventional definitions of fashion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Years of hard work and vision culminate in this showcase of digital media, costume and wearable sculpture \u2014 a dazzling display of creativity and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n

A Fashion Week Takeover<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For more than two decades, Art2Wear has challenged young designers to imagine, create and inspire through showstopping wearable art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2026 show, Symbiosis<\/em>, was part of NC State’s first-ever Fashion Week: a celebration of creativity and artistic excellence featuring all of the university’s signature fashion and textile design events<\/a> in one dynamic lineup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
